Whistle Pigs
|
WHEN WAS THE BAND STARTED? Early 2007 HOW WAS IT STARTED? Banjo Joe saw Randy at PK’s. Randy asked Joe if he wanted to play together sometime. They got together at Joe’s cabin a couple of times and played. Randy was introduced to Joe by Blayne, from Mountain Sprout. Randy stood in on bass with Joe’s previous band a few times. Joe’s previous band was the Broke Strang Band that had Adma and Blayne, before the joined Mountain Sprout. WHERE WAS IT STARTED? Randy and Joe first started talking about playing together at PK’s while they were drinkin’ beer. They started playing there for tips and beer. WHO WERE THE FOUNDING MEMBERS? Randy and Joe WHAT WAS THE FIRST TRACKS/CD? Live at Hanger 9. It was called "Live in 2012" …it sucked. WHERE AND WHEN WAS THE BANDS FIRST BIG GIG OR EVENT? In early 2008 Whistle Pigs became a PAID house band every Tuesday at PK’s, and still play there every Tuesday night.
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO BE ON THE ROAD WITH THE BAND? Fun, little sleep, cheap motels, no motels, meetin’ new people, all night dinners. We work well together on the road. Things get easier when we’re on the road so we play our best when touring. WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO FOR FUN AS A GROUP? Play a lot of shows, stop for fireworks and porno, frog giggin’, huntin’, shoot fireworks, get drunk, watch westerns, invent ridiculous gadgets and brainstorm for our adult cartoon/sketch comedy show, work on new songs, cook sometimes, order pizza and wings, shoot guns, get drunk at PK’s
